Integrated in the Tolomeo design classic, the Tolomeo INTEGRALIS® lamp now makes it possible to combine iconic design with perfect light quality and an anti-bacterial effect.

Tolomeo INTEGRALIS

In the home office, in co-working spaces, in living rooms, in architectural offices, doctor’s surgeries, agencies – wherever the Tolomeo lamps with their award-winning design make their presence felt, all lit surfaces can be safely disinfected thanks to INTEGRALIS® technology. Invisible to the human eye, a special wavelength on the visible spectrum combines disinfection with superb efficiency and excellent light quality. The pure delight that results from a hygienic and safe environment – that is the hallmark of Tolomeo INTEGRALIS®.

The design

It is beautiful, it is desirable, it is timeless, it is forever young – and it is a design legend: the Italian architects Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina designed the Tolomeo lamps for Artemide in 1987. Michele De Lucchi got his inspiration for the mechanism from observing anglers with their “trabucchi”, the fishing nets of Apulia whose rods, with the nets attached, are held in place by ropes. In 1989, the Tolomeo lamp was awarded the Compasso d'Oro design prize – today it can be found on the desks of brilliant minds and in the world’s most important museums.
